Monitoring function Description

EPL frame error (CRC) Weighted number of received faulty frames

• This error can occur due to ver strong EMC interferences or by non-

POWERLINK-compliant nodes.

• Monitoring threshold: C13131/3

/ C14131/3

• Monitoring response: C13891/4 / C14891/4

EPL-Rx PDO contents This monitoring response defines the way the cyclic process data (PDO) are

forwarded from the POWERLINKnetwork to the standard device/application

in the event of an error. An error has occurred if no valid process data is

received and the "POWERLINK synchronisation loss" monitoring function is

activated. The following settings are possible with C13885

/ C14885:

• 0: The valid data received last remains.

• 1: All data is set to the value "0".

EPL synchronisation loss This monitoring detects a failure of the Managing Node by means of the

number of POWERLINK cycles failed. This monitoring is independent of the

setting for the Drive synchronisation

( 41).
