13.9 Communication cards: optional interface

This chapter provides you with some information about the parameters of the optional controller

communication cards. The communication cards allow for a use of the controller with further bus

systems.

EtherCAT is the "on board" standard bus system of the Controllers.

The following communication cards can be used with the controllers:

CAN (MC-CAN2) communication card / CAN interface for Controller c300/p300

PROFIBUS and PROFINET communication cards ( 185)

 Note!

Controllers c300/p300 ...

• are equipped with an integrated CAN communication interface (on board);

• only support the CAN master functionality

The optional MC-CAN2 communication card is not

supported by the Controllers c300/

p300.
