9 Application examples

9.1 Communication between I/O system 1000 and Inverter Drive 8400 via CAN fieldbus

Requirements

 The I/O system 1000 station is to communicate with an Inverter Drive 8400 via a CAN

fieldbus.

 The "Speed actuating drive" application is to be extended by CANIN2 and CANOUT2.

 The "bJogSpeed1" JOG value is to be activated via bit 1 of the "DI 8, DC 24V" electronic

module.

 The "bDriveReady" bit is to be output to bit 1 of the "DO 8, DC 24V" electronic module.

How to proceed

1. Search for devices connected to the fieldbus

– Execute the FileNew... command to call the Start-up wizard.
