9. Select from the group box Horizontal with the combination Time base 1/div the value 1sec.

As the graph has ten divisions in horizontal direction, the recording takes ten seconds. The

horizontal shift Position (sec) remains 0 in t his example.

10. Enter in the group box Recording in the text box Scanning rate (ms) the value 20.

At first the variable data are recorded in the target system. The bar diagram Memory

utilisation indicates the load of the memory. If the utilization is too high, the recording cannot

take place. By decreasing the time base or increasing the scanning frequency, the memory

utilization can be reduced.

11. If the settings are correct, t he button Start is active. Press the button Start in order to start a

recording.

12. After an info dialog box t he dialog box curve data recorded appears. Press the button OK in

order to transfer the curve data to the PC and to record the curve.

13. If the curve data are loaded and the cur ve is recorded, the complete surface of the GDO is

visible again. Now, other variables can be recorded or the same variable can be recorded with

different settings.

If you want to use the oscilloscope in your own programs, it must be integrated into a task. (^ 27)
