Parameter setting of the controller
A detailed description concerning parameter setting can be obtained from the
documentation of the controller.
Parameterise a controller in the system as follows:
1. Link a digital output Ax with a function block CMPx (comparator) which compares
the value of the DC−bus voltage (MCTRL−DCVOLT) with the reference value
(FCODE472/x).
Recommended switching points EMB9341 and EMB9342:
– Ax = HIGH if DC−bus voltage > mains voltage x Ö2 + 75 V
– Ax = LOW if DC−bus voltage < mains voltage x Ö2 + 50 V
– Adapt the hysteresis to your application.
Recommended switching points EMB9343:
– Ax = HIGH if DC−bus voltage > mains voltage x Ö2 + 100 V
– Ax = LOW if DC−bus voltage < mains voltage x Ö2 + 50 V
– Adapt the hysteresis to your application.
Behaviour in case of mains failure during the feedback operation
1. The mains fails. The DC−bus voltage increases.
2. The mains failure is detected and reported to the master control Z4 (A2 = LOW).
3. The control inhibits the feedback operation (E1 = HIGH) and initiates the braking
operation (e. g. emergency stop).
4. If the DC−bus voltage reaches the upper comparator threshold (Ax = HIGH), Ax
inhibits the feedback operation parallel to control Z4.
5. If the DC−bus voltage reaches the brake chopper threshold set, the braking energy is
converted into heat via the brake resistors.
The DC−bus voltage breaks down after shutdown or drops to the rectified value of the
mains voltage if applied again.
6. The feedback operation is enabled if the following two conditions are fulfilled:
– Mains voltage is applied again (enabled by control)
– DC−bus voltage smaller than lower comparator threshold (Ax = LOW).
